An open box is a service we offer where you can combine multiple orders into one without paying postage multiple times. You can leave your box open for as long as you want. the first time you use the service choose the "start an open box" option we physically will take the items and place them in a box in our office. To add to the box select "add to open box" you can add as much or little as you like. When you are ready to get your items select the "close my open box" this is where you will pay postage one time and will will ship your items. A common use is the ability to buy small things and sale items to put aside for a holiday or birthday and effectively spread the cost. While you have an open box with us you can still place a regular order! Simply just select the "standard shipping" option.

Frosting on soy wax melts is a natural, cosmetic phenomenon that appears as white, chalky, or crystalline patches on the surface of the wax. It is completely normal, especially with soy wax, and is a sign that you're using a natural, plant-based product. Frosting does NOT effect safety, scent throw or use. While we try our best to minimise it on our products it does occur.

Yes.. and no, let me explain. On the website you can only check out from the UK not including northern Ireland the reason is is other country's and northern Ireland have very specific rules about shipping chemicals eg. the fragrance oil in products. They also has wildly changing shipping prices and changing tariffs. So if you would like to order internationally or to northern Ireland all you need to do is message and we can organise shipping to your location but for now it cant be done on the website.

So our subscription boxes contain at least 6 themed products normally all wax melts (however if it contains a different type of products i will be specified) all with a specific theme for example we have done sea side, Winnie the pooh and astrology themes in the past. Now here is the important part our sub boxes are NOT reoccurring payments meaning if buy one box it is a stand alone payment, you have not entered into a subscription. We do this so you can pick each month whether or not you would like to buy the box. If you do get a box it will be shipped the following month as they are pre orders. The theme is announced before the box goes on sale.

On the back of every wax melt, candle and cosmetic item from not only me but all company's there is legally required to be a CLP label. CLP is the shortened version of the super catchy (classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, and amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) as i said super catchy. The reason we have CLP label's is just in case god forbid a child or pet ingested it or has a reaction then you know exactly what chemical's are in the product and how to treat any adverse reactions.

Yes. we are a fully vegan and cruelty free brand and this is something we take pride in. However it goes further that that we also use eco friendly and sustainable as well materials as well as recyclable packaging wherever possible! Take our wax for example paraffin is the industry standard, its cheap looks okay and does a job its the wax you will find in super markets BUT Paraffin wax is a byproduct of petroleum. It's derived from crude oil through a process called distillation, which separates it from other components in the oil.  We use pure soy wax Soy wax is derived from soybeans, which are a renewable, plant-based resource. Soybeans are grown annually, making them a sustainable crop that replenishes itself every year. Its fully biodegradable has a longer burn time, and better scent throw! Another bonus is it supports sustainable farming. When burned, soy wax emits fewer toxins than paraffin. Paraffin candles can release potentially harmful substances like benzene, toluene, and soot, which can pollute the indoor air and be harmful to health. It also costs 2X as much hence why its rarely used by big brands but i aim to change that.

TW. I started carlascandlesco when i had just turned 16 years i was severely depressed, in collage, l had £100 in my bank and to top it all off the click of your fingers i woke up with what i now know to be 2 life long un-curable disability's. So understandably i needed something anything to take my mind off life so i bought some cheap supplies from amazon and had a go and on January 24th 2021 my first candle was made on the 26th i made another posted it on tiktok.... and BOOM 862,000 views i then made my first wax melt on the 22nd of February 2021 posted that and yet again BOOM 546,000 views! we went into another COVID lockdown to so i was able to collage from home for 4 months. So at 16 i had 1000 orders to make and pack and i didn't even have shipping boxes or an office as at this time i was in my kitchen. But i did it all and the rest as they say is history.
